EPIC Investigations: Past Cases
Please Note: While we would like to be able to publish the results of all of the cases EPIC investigates, there are some cases that cannot be published on our site due to a variety of confidentiality concerns. In those cases, all details of the investigation and evidence found during the investigation are held in strict confidence between the EPIC team and the client. Therefore, the cases you see listed here below represent only a fraction of the investigations that EPIC has conducted. EPIC never investigates cemetaries, parks, or any other outdoor locations, as evidence can too easily be contaminated. All investigations are conducted at night, with as few people on the premises as possible.
Investigation: Residence, Long Island, NY (10/3/09)
The EPIC team was called in to investigate this private home on Long Island, NY. The family has been experiencing knockings, scratchings, shadows, and whispers. Since one of the family members was a child, this case was a high-priority case for EPIC. Plus it was the first official case for some new EPIC members. Investigation: St. Andrew's Church, Staten Island, NY (5/2/08 & 10/24/08) **UPDATED 9/23/09 to respond to TAPS Investigation**
The EPIC team twice investigated this 300-year old church in historic Richmond Town on Staten Island. A variety of paranormal activity has been reported at this location, from parishioners and church staff. Click here to see the results of these investigations!

Investigation: Residence on Staten Island, NY (12/1/07)
The EPIC team was called in to investigate this 19th century home on Staten Island, NY. The house dates back to the late 1800's, and is a one-family house in a residential part of Staten Island. The first floor was a storefront, with the second floor being a large apartment. There is also a large attic and basement in the location. The residents have reported various phenomena, including the sounds of chairs moving when nobody is home, apparitions of the deceased previous residents, and strange feelings of being watched. The EPIC team returned on Halloween week conduct a follow-up investigation of this historic museum in Staten Island, NY. The EPIC team was called in to re-investigate this residential home on Staten Island, NY. The house is approximately 70 years old, and is a 1-family house in a residential part of Staten Island. The residents have reported various noises for years, including footsteps, light switches clicking on and off, as well as cold spots, feelings of being watched, and orbs. Investigation: Residence in East Orange, NJ (9/15/07)
The EPIC team was called in to investigate this residential condo in East Orange, New Jersey, after the current resident started experiencing some unusual activity. The building development is new, however the building had been condemned and abandoned for the past 10 years. Apparitions, unusual voices, figures and smells, and other unusual phenomena have been reported. We are currently still reviewing evidence, so check back soon to see what we may have caught!
Investigation: The Bridge Café, New York, NY (8/25/07)
The EPIC team was asked to investigate The Bridge Café, New York City's oldest surviving bar. Located at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan, The Bridge Café was once a brothel, and numerous murders were committed at this historic location. In more recent years, it was a favorite eatery of Mayor Ed Koch. Over the years, people have reported hearing footsteps, seeing shadows, strange sensations of being watched, smells of lavender, and other unusual phenomena. The EPIC team was asked to investigate this historic museum in Staten Island, NY. The Garibaldi-Meucci Museum was once home to inventor Antonio Meucci, his wife Esther, and Italian war hero Guiseppe Garibaldi. Investigation: Sam's Bar & Grill, Fords, NJ (4/28/07)
The EPIC team was asked to investigate this famous haunted location in Fords, New Jersey. Built in 1910, Sam's Bar & Grill has a long and storied haunted history. Over the years, people have reported hearing voices, arguments, bar stools sliding across the floor, and other noises while the bar was empty, as well as sightings of an apparition of a man that would enter via the side entrance to the bar. The residents have reported various noises for years, including footsteps, mostly male voices, knockings on the walls, and even apparitions. Investigation: Residence in Trenton, NJ (11/3/06)
The EPIC team recently visited this old Victorian house in Trenton, NJ. The house was converted into apartments, and today is used mainly by college students.
